august 2018
In August 2018 I had the incredible chance to join Icelandic Explorer (Gunnar Freyr) and Joe Shutter together with nine other adventure and photography obsessed people on a epic trip to East Greenland called the Silent Arctic.
“East Greenland is one of the most isolated habitations in the world. Along the more than 20.000 kilometres of coastline you’ll only encounter two towns and 5 small settlements, inhabited by no more than 3,500 people.”
Onboard the beautiful schooner Opal we sailed for 8 days between giant ice bergs, dropped anchor in silent bays to discovery the land and look out for muskox. We were incredible lucky to spot five polar bears and witnessed the dance of the northern lights at night.
